Sometimes when you meet someone, you just click. For Stephanie Kalb and Chair of Interior Design, Sandra Olave, a shared elevator ride at College for Creative Studies was that moment. And it would prove to be pivotal in paving a career pathway for a lifetime passion for interior design.
Over the course of the Fall semester, the College for Creative Studies hosted 11 sponsored projects and competitions across a variety of disciplines. Students from a wide range of disciplines partnered with local and global brands to work on a specific project tailored to meet the needs of our industry partners.
For Jacob Emmett, creativity isn’t just a passion – it’s a way of life. As a Coach Workshop Apprentice, Jacob has found his calling in the hands-on world of design and craftsmanship. From his roots in Detroit to the fast-paced energy of New York City, Emmett’s journey is one of self-discovery and a deep love for the art of making.

CCS is proud to announce that the 2025 Re/View: CCS Alumni Exhibition will be juried by Glenn Triest, a 1982 Photography alumnus, esteemed Detroit-based photographer, and long-standing member of the Alumni Council. The exhibition opens on May 16, 2025, in the Valade Family Gallery.
Rachel, a user interface designer based in Southfield, Mich., brought her expertise in crafting digital experiences to the forefront, using those skills to shape her game strategy on Survivor.
