National Portfolio Day – Savannah
About the Event
This is a free, public event hosted by the College for Creative Studies.
Visit with counselors, admissions team members, and faculty from art and design schools for a portfolio review before applying to colleges or universities.
What should I bring?
Your portfolio should include the best work you are making now, but it can also include work in progress, sketchbooks, and tear sheets.
- Do not spend an inordinate amount of time matting or framing your work. The work itself is what is of interest.
- Bring digital versions of any fragile pieces of work that are too hard to carry.
- Bring a device or laptop with a screen larger than 5”x 7” to show time-based work (video, animation, etc.), digital images, and digitally based art. Note: You will likely not have access to a power source, so charge up in advance or bring your own.
*No admissions decisions or scholarship awards will be offered to you at a National Portfolio Day. Some colleges represented may accept the portfolio you present as the visual portion of your application. Other colleges have review structures that prohibit them from making a definitive admission decision at the time of your review. We urge you to discuss your work with as many representatives as possible.
Free parking is available.
