August 4, 2021

Advertising Design students swept the “Student” category at this year’s Adcraft “D” Show.

Thursday, June 24, 2021, the annual “D” show was held virtually and showcased talent from all over Detroit—Detroit has one of the largest advertising markets in the U.S.

Johnny Spagnuolo and Kenta Tomeoki won Best of Show earning the Black D Award for their project “#ImagineIf.”

The Silver D Award was awarded to students Jessica Bonello and Anthony Quitos for “Dunkin’ Dating,” Chelsea-Ann Bonofiglio for “Our Day,” Adam Dellavecchia, and Ethan Pestano for “WhatsApp: WhatsUp,” and Johnny Spagnuolo and Jessica Bonello for “Design Looks Like Me.”

Every year, students entering their junior or senior year have the opportunity to win the Diversity In The D Award—a scholarship that supports minority students in their junior and senior years of college by providing them with mentorship, a $10,000 scholarship, and a 10 week paid internship. This year, the scholarship was awarded to junior Eve Geboski, an advertising design major.
