Textbook Information
Faculty are required to submit textbook and course materials information to the CCS Bookstore prior to each semester. The Bookstore is also provided with course schedule and enrollment data to ensure adequate availability of required materials. Required textbook information will be listed on each applicable course section and can be viewed through Self-Service under “Search for Courses and Course Sections.”

Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Students

Disbursement of Financial Aid/Refunds
Disbursement for Books and Supplies
CCS offers eligible students the ability to charge required books and supplies at the CCS Bookstore and printed course materials at the Imaging Center directly to their student account through the Peacock Pay program. Students with a pending financial aid refund for the current semester may charge up to $500 or the amount of their pending refund, whichever is less. The Bookstore opens for Peacock Pay charges 10 days prior to the start of each semester, ensuring that eligible students have access to required course materials by the seventh day of the payment period, as required under 34 CFR 668.164(m).
Automatic deduction: Any Peacock Pay charges will be automatically deducted from the student’s financial aid refund before it is issued by the Business Office.
Opt-out: Students who do not wish to use the Peacock Pay program may opt out by simply not using it at checkout. Students who opt out will receive their full financial aid credit balance refund on the standard schedule and may purchase books and supplies through any source of their choosing. Students may also pay outstanding Peacock Pay charges at any time by cash, check, or credit card at the Business Office before their financial aid is processed.

Official retention rates are based on the percentage of full-time, first-time undergraduate students seeking a bachelor’s degree who return the following fall and these figures are reported to the U. S. Department of Education on an annual basis through the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). The information can be viewed on the College Navigator website as well.
According to the IPEDS Trend Generator, the national average retention rate (all four-year colleges) for full-time, first-time students entering Fall 2022 returning Fall 2023 is 81.7%.

Transfer Out Data
Fall 2024, a total of 318 new undergraduate students began their studies at CCS. Fall 2025 enrollment data indicates that 55 did not return. According to National Student Clearinghouse records, 24 of the 55 transferred to another higher education institution.

Career and Post-Graduation Data
All CCS students and alumni have access to the Office of Partnerships’ Career Development team. The Office of Partnerships Career Development Team prepares students for life after graduation by offering guidance on resume, CV and cover letter preparation, interview skills and job search techniques. They inform students about various career paths open to artists and designers and schedule on-campus recruitment events that bring companies to our students. In addition, the online Job Book allows students to search job postings and internships, as well as upload their resume and sample work for employers to review.
