Professional Experience
High School English Teacher – Grosse Pointe Public Schools 1992-2022. Film programmer at The Redford Theatre (2010 to present), Motor City Cinema Society (2022 to present), Royal Oak Cinema Society (1985-1992), while also showing films in other venues. Film archivist for The Black Canon collection of Black film material in Detroit. Published hundreds of articles related to film/theater/general interest features to the Detroit Free Press primarily, but also The Detroit News, The Metro Times, The Oakland Press, The Daily Tribune, The Observer-Eccentric Newspapers, and USA Today.
