Claire Thibodeau’s studio practice focuses on interplay between ceramics and fiber arts, both in practice and in respect to history of craft and women’s work. Her work manifests in hand-built forms, slip-castings, wheel-thrown vessels, and performances.

Professional Experience

Upon graduation from Alfred University, Claire Thibodeau received a teaching internship at the Carnegie Museum of Art and a Artist in Residence position at Union Project in Pittsburgh, PA; She received post-baccalaureate position and adjunct teaching position at Syracuse University from 2017-2018. She accepted a Artist in Residence position at the Sonoma Community Center in 2018 for six months; She taught from 2018-2020 at the Sonoma Community Center and Petaluma Pottery both in Northern California. In 2020, she began graduate school at Cranbrook Academy of Art; She accepted an adjunct faculty position at CCS Spring of 2022.
