You are invited to an exclusive symposium with renowned creative professionals as part of the Toyota Lecture on Design Series. The event will include several short lectures and moderated sessions, featuring notable Entertainment Arts designers and Illustration artists from across the country.
CCS alumni are invited to a special Lunch & Learn event featuring Taylor Childs ’18 Crafts – Fiber Design, in collaboration with @ccs_sab and @ccs_alumni_detroit. This event includes an artist talk followed by the Feeling Safe workshop, where participants will explore creativity and community through fiber arts.
The CCS Speakers & Exhibitions Program is pleased to present the Biennial Faculty Exhibition, to take place at the Valade Family Gallery, March 21 through April 25, 2025.
Thomas Murray and Kristal Hale, textile collector and textile conservator respectively, will speak on the history of Sumatran ship cloths.

The CCS Student Exhibition is a thrilling celebration of creativity and innovation, showcasing over 3,500 unique works from CCS students and alumni.
Celebrating over 65 years of sculpting and foundry work at our institution, this exhibition traces the evolution and legacy of this art form. From the early influence of Walter Midener, a pivotal figure in the 1960s, to Jay Holland’s transformative leadership and mentorship, we showcase the depth of our sculpting tradition.
