40th Annual Iron Pour

Join us as CCS celebrates the 40th Iron Pour—a beloved tradition and true craft-community reunion. Hosted by Academic Facilities and our partners, this annual event brings together alumni, students, and friends from across institutions to collaborate, reconnect, and witness one of CCS’s most iconic hands-on experiences.

This year’s pour is open to anyone with casting and foundry experience, including participants from outside CCS. We’re excited to already have commitments from colleagues at Cranbrook, Michigan State, the University of Michigan, Grand Valley, CCS Studio Arts & Crafts, Continuing Education Foundry students, and many alumni who return year after year for this special gathering.

March 24th: Mold and Iron Deadline
March 28th: Rain Date for the Pour

Even if you’re not planning to pour, we encourage you to come by and experience the spectacle—it’s one of the closest things CCS has to a spectator sport.
