CCS is committed to offering a barrier-free pathway for Siena Heights University students seeking a like-minded community and collegiate experience.
Students enrolled in the BFA in Design at Siena Heights who seek to complete their studies through the Interdisciplinary Art + Design BFA at CCS will be provided guaranteed admission*, no loss of credit, and the guarantee of same standing (no extension of time to complete degree).

Pathways Details
BFA in Design Majors at Siena Heights are assured a supported and seamless path to degree completion through the BFA in Interdisciplinary Art + Design at the College for Creative Studies, which includes:
- Guaranteed admission for students in *good academic standing.
- Transfer of coursework completed toward their SHU degree requirements.
- Students can resume their studies in the same term and class level they ended on at SHU and stay on track for their original graduation date
*Important* To qualify for all pathway assurances outlined above, students must:
- Be in good academic standing with Siena Heights University with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Complete the application process below.
For All Impacted Students
For any students whose educational pursuits have been disrupted by the pending closure of Siena Heights University, we pledge to:
- Facilitate a free and expeditious application process
- Ensure students receive a holistic evaluation of their SHU programming
- Understand their CCS transfer credit evaluation (TCE) and are given priority in receiving their degree plan and expected graduation date
- Provide financial aid counseling and academic advising to admitted students at CCS
- Grant priority access to CCS campus housing if the decision to enroll is made before July 15, 2026.
- Provide applicants with all the information they need before enrolling
Non-BFA Students and Those Seeking an Alternate CCS Major
Siena Heights Students from Any Undergraduate Program as well as those seeking a major outside of the BFA in Interdisciplinary Art + Design interested in transferring will be supported through
- Awarding the full extent of transfer credit possible to their program of choice** (CCS Undergraduate Degree Programs )
- Receipt of a custom Transfer Credit Evaluation and the most expeditious pathway to degree completion possible;

- Students admitted to CCS will automatically be considered for scholarship.
- Those who complete the FAFSA and add CCS to their list of receiving institutions will be sent a comprehensive aid package.

<b>Transcripts:</b> How do I get a copy of my transcript to share?
Students seeking admission to CCS are encouraged to request copies of their transcripts through the National Clearinghouse Transcript Ordering Center.
<b>Out of State Students:</b> Does CCS have a Michigan residency requirement or an ‘in state’ tuition?
No- tuition is the same for all students at CCS
<b>Housing:</b> Does CCS require students to live on campus?
- No- Though we will prioritize housing for those seeking it (see details above), we do not require students to live on campus. Many students rent in and around the Detroit Metro area.

<b>Pathway v. Teachout</b> How does CCS’s pathway for Interdisciplinary Art + Design vary from a formal teach-out agreement?
- CCS is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers programs similar to those in Design at Sienna Heights. To serve students quickly, we have provided assurances in line with to those offered in a typical teach-out agreement.
- Courses from the BFA in Design at Sienna Heights have been reviewed by the Chair of our Interdisciplinary Art + Design department to ensure alignment and facilitate a seamless degree completion pathway.
