Challenged with the task to design for the disabled in sports or leisure, a design opportunity arose to recreate the movement of a wrist for a lacrosse player. Through trial and error, many mockups, and pulling inspiration from the human hand, a combination of a ball joint and durable bands allowed a lacrosse player to successfully play the movements of cradling and throwing. This function could also be applied to other sports such as tennis.
