Tim Kozub is a seasoned automotive designer with over 26 years of experience shaping the future of mobility at General Motors. A 1998 graduate of the prestigious College for Creative Studies in Detroit—one of the leading institutions for transportation design—Tim joined GM immediately upon graduation, embarking on a distinguished career that has left a lasting mark on the global automotive landscape.
Over the course of more than two decades, Tim has contributed to nearly every brand under the GM umbrella, including Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and more, consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of both form and function. His work spans the entire design process—from initial sketches and ideation to clay modeling, digital surfacing, and final production sign-off—always with an eye toward innovation, elegance, and consumer appeal.
Tim’s primary focus has been exterior design, where his ability to translate abstract concepts into compelling, real-world vehicles has helped shape some of GM’s most iconic and forward-thinking designs. Whether working on cutting-edge concept vehicles that hint at the future or refining production models that define today’s roads, Tim brings a strategic blend of creativity, precision, and brand stewardship to every project.
What sets Tim apart is his commitment to design excellence and his talent for pushing boundaries while remaining grounded in the core values of each brand. His portfolio is rich with vehicles that not only turn heads but also deliver on performance, functionality, and user experience.
As the industry continues to evolve toward electrification, autonomy, and sustainable mobility, Tim remains at the forefront of automotive design—leveraging his experience to influence the next generation of vehicles and inspire young designers entering the field.
