Professional Experience

Michael Ozias had a 25-year filmmaking career in Los Angeles. For 9 of those years he shared ownership in the production companies Ozymandias Entertainment and Just Add Firewater where he acted as a writer/director. He worked as an editor, animator, and compositor for another 13. During his first years he gained experience as a production assistant.

His directing credits include the feature-length documentary They Say It Can’t Be Done, which explored globe-changing innovations and the regulatory barriers they face. He also directed the feature-length documentary Of Dogs and Men, which examined incidents in which law enforcement would shoot pet dogs during routine calls. Both became award winning films.

His work as an editor included shows like American Idol, Dr. Phil, Kitchen Nightmares, America’s Got Talent, and Iron Chef America. It also included a lead editor role for the G4 Network’s flagship series Attack of the Show.
