Isaac Pickell isn’t sure if he’s a poet who teaches or a teacher who poems. His research interests include racial passing, critical whiteness studies, and the borderlands of Black literature, themes he also explores in his creative work.
Professional Experience
Isaac is the author of two books of poetry, everything saved will be last (Black Lawrence Press, 2021) and It’s not over once you figure it out (Black Ocean, 2023).
