Professional Experience

Darren Barrowcliff, a visionary designer whose career bridges the worlds of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary expression. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Barrowcliff honed his craft in London, where he spent nearly a decade shaping the landscape of modern menswear. His tenure culminated in an appointment as Design Director of the esteemed Savile Row house, Hardy Amies—an institution synonymous with British tailoring. His collections have been shown in New York, Paris, London, and Florence, garnering recognition in revered publications such as Vogue and GQ.

A devoted archivist and curator, Barrowcliff has spent years sourcing rare objects and sartorial relics. Such can be found at his current endeavor, Atelier Detroit. Located at 1451 Brooklyn in Corktown, Detroit. Atelier Detroit is a curated collection of vintage and design objects. Its emphasis lies in craftsmanship and one-of-a-kind lifestyle pieces ranging from clothing to elements for the home.
