Working primarily in painting and drawing, Wong’s studio practice focuses on personal relationships and symbolism in everyday objects.

Professional Experience

Alison Wong is an artist, curator, and educator. Wong received her MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI, and her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. In 2009, Wong founded Butter Projects, an artist-run studio and exhibition space. In 2015, she become the Director and Curator at Wasserman Projects in Detroit’s Eastern Market. Wong has also exhibited her work locally, nationally, and internationally.
