Experienced Lighting Artist with a background in both live action and feature animation production, as well as real time lighting. Well versed in the principles of photography and realistic lighting, including plate integration, physically based shading, and modern pathtracers.
In recent years I have focused on lighting for feature animation, including compositing and image finaling, and have more recently begun exploring real time lighting. I’ve been fortunate to work at many of the top studios in the industry: Dreamworks Animation, Walt Disney Feature Animation, Sony Pictures Imageworks, Animal Logic, and Blizzard Entertainment.
Recently I have been studying technical art and Unreal Engine, including Python in Unreal, QtDesigner, HLSL/Blueprints shaders, and lighting/shading in Unreal. My goal is to build upon this skillset and transition to a technical artist role, or a lighting artist role in games.
