Merit and need-based scholarships and grants are awards that do not require repayment.

CCS Graduate Scholarships

By completing your application to CCS, you are automatically considered for a graduate scholarship. We base scholarship awards on your portfolio, academic record, interview and potential for success in your Graduate Studies program. Admitted applicants who have been awarded a CCS Graduate Studies Scholarship will receive notification of the scholarship in their acceptance letter. Enrolled students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to continue receiving their scholarship funding.

Note: If you are receiving tuition assistance from your employer or country, you are not eligible for these scholarships.

CCS Alumni Scholarship
All CCS alumni who have earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree will automatically receive a $5,000 scholarship as part of the admissions process.
Dean’s Alumni Award for Graduate Studies
CCS alumni who apply and are admitted to either the Design for Sustainability or Interdisciplinary Design & Media programs may be eligible for a limited number of $5,000 scholarships through the Dean’s Alumni Award for Graduate Studies.
CCS Named Scholarships
CCS has a variety of private scholarships that have been made possible through the generosity of alumni, friends and community organizations. The application to CCS serves as the application for most of these named scholarships for incoming students. Current students will receive communications in the Spring about available scholarships and application information. Details on these awards can be found here.

CCS International Student Grant

New and returning International students are awarded $1,500 in the first semester of enrollment each academic year. This award is in addition to the CCS Scholarship/Award.

Outside Scholarships

CCS will accept any outside scholarships students obtain.

  • Student or Spouse employer (tuition reimbursement, scholarship programs, and incentive programs)
  • Local community organizations (Lions, Rotary, or Kiwanis clubs, churches, sports groups, womens/mens groups, arts organizations)
  • National Foundations (breast cancer, Alzehimers, Multiple Sclerosis awareness, etc.)
  • Local city, townships and state municipals
Avoid Scholarship Scams
When seeking outside scholarships or resources be mindful of the information you provide; avoid ones that indicate:

  • Application fees
  • 100% Guarantee
  • Everybody is eligible
  • Excessive requests for personal information (social security numbers, banking information, phone number, etc.)
  • Typing or spelling errors
