Design by Desire: Design Visions Forecast & Exhibition Discussion

Join us for a visually-focused lecture on design, delivered by interdisciplinary artist and designer Cristin Richard. In this era of information and technology, our needs and desires have inevitably changed. The Design Visions Forecast decodes trends revealing the current movements of the times in which we are living. This deep analysis of the works emerging across the contemporary Art and Design industries will fuel and inspire the creative practice. Further reflecting these key themes at the local level, we will discuss the accompanying Design by Desire group exhibition on view at CCS Center Galleries for Detroit Month of Design.

House of RAW is a research-based studio in Detroit, founded by Cristin Richard. The studio’s primary focus is Trend Analysis and Forecasting Intelligence, providing invaluable insights regarding color, material, and form language.

Parking is available in the CCS Brush St lot, located on Brush just north of Frederick. The Design by Desire exhibition will be open for extended hours at Center Galleries after the lecture until 8pm.
