Professional Experience

Myrtle A. Brooks joined CCS in Fall 2023 as a Business Faculty member. She attended Madonna University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated with MBA, and MSBA degrees specializing in Quality Systems and Operations Management. Myrtle was the first Manufacturing Quality Engineer at Mazda Motors in Flat Rock, launching the first American made vehicle as part of a joint venture with Ford Motor Company. She later joined Ford Motor Company and instructed over one thousand courses from management to engineering and quality in over five countries as Ford’s first female certified Master trainer specializing in 8D Problem Solving and Management training. She worked on numerous new projects and facilitated company programs in partnership with some of the most highly experienced Ford Motor Company executives and well respected by UAW leadership. Myrtle taught as adjunct faculty for Baker College, the University of Michigan Dearborn School of Business and for the City of Detroit, before returning to the auto industry as a World Class Manufacturing Plant lead for Fiat Chrysler developing a Quality system for the build of the 2013 Viper. Staying up to date with the latest automotive trends, she supported HR initiatives for the launch of Bollinger Motors a startup Electric Vehicle Company.

Myrtle is a strong supporter and alumni of DAPCEP, the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program a popular engineering program for Detroit inner city youth and recently traveled to Japan with Detroit area youth as an ambassador for the Detroit -Toyota Sisters Cities program. She considers CCS a jewel and is a proud member of the Liberal Arts department.
