Product Design Student Wins Gold in 2022 Architecture and Design Collection Awards
February 28, 2023
CCS junior Camila Lerena won gold in the Architecture and Design Collection Awards (ADC) for her conceptual design of a chair that can be passed down through generations.
Lerena, entered her concept design for the Florencia Lounge chair — created in a design course she had taken in 2022. The Florencia is a piece of furniture that with its simplicity can fit into varying environments, and is also designed with a timeless flare that allows it to move through generations.
Aside from being a potential family heirloom, Florencia is also effortless in build — featuring a smooth continuous frame with seamless zero hardware joints and an easily replaceable/cleanable fabric.
The Architecture & Design Collection Awards is an open platform that allows creativity and talent from participants from all over the world — across design disciplines, like architecture, design, and communication design.
