CCS Pronoun Guide

What are personal pronouns?
Words that are used in place of names, for example, she/her, he/him, they/them, xe/xim/xer etc.
Why are pronouns important?
People want to be referred to by the pronoun they identify with. Using someone’s correct pronouns is an act of respect.

What if I make a mistake?
It’s okay! There’s no need to make a big deal of it. Apologize, correct yourself, and move on.
How do I share my pronouns?
We share pronouns to let people know how to refer to us. You can share your pronouns when introducing yourself.
For example, “Hi!, my name is Maya and my pronouns are she/her.”
