John Coates

John Coates is a filmmaker with a focus on cinematography and directing. Since getting his first production internship at age 14, he now has over 8 years of experience in the industry. During this time, he has worked on projects for companies including Ford, General Motors, PBS, Quicken Loans, and Hungry Howie’s. Along with a classmate, he founded his production company under the name CS Media, which produces commercial, narrative, and documentary content. He is currently in post-production on a feature length film called Uncle, which he wrote and co-directed.
