CCS has earned the 2025-2026 Military Friendly® School designation. Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-2026 survey with 830 earning special awards for going above the standard.

College for Creative Studies (CCS) student Eli Archer tapped into his Hoosier heritage as the 20-year-old sophomore from Indiana emerged victorious in the 2025 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Official Poster Competition on Wednesday, April 2. Archer’s colorful creation captured the thrill of racing on the Streets of Downtown Detroit while highlighting the Grand Prix’s connection to the local community and the summertime vibe of the Motor City.

The Animation Career Review has announced its annual animation school rankings, with the College for Creative Studies scoring a top spot on the Michigan list. The criteria used in determining the rankings include academic reputation, admission selectivity, employment data, depth and breadth of the program faculty, value as it relates to tuition and indebtedness, graduation rate and retention rate. CCS was also ranked in the national, Midwest and private college’s rankings also completed by Animation Career Review.

Two CCS students from Detroit will be awarded $50,000 scholarships annually, distributed over four years. Gilbert Family Foundation also announced scholarship support for pre-college summer workshops and completion scholarships aimed at retaining students.

Students from a wide range of disciplines partnered with local and global brands to work on a specific project tailored to meet the needs of our industry partners.
