Professional Experience
Upon graduating from CCS’s inaugural MFA: Color and Materials cohort in 2016, Tara started her career at Nike as a Color Designer for Basketball Apparel. In that role she focused on crafting consumer and brand right narratives through color, product execution and development, as well as working cross-functionally with international partners and premier athletes.
After a few years in the sportswear industry, she transitioned to working in the automotive industry as a Color and Trim Designer within General Motors. Currently, in this position, she is focused on designing trend relevant color and material strategies while prioritizing sustainable solutions as well as the wants and needs of customers.
