Andy is the principal of Good Done Daily, a graphic design studio that pairs strategy with playful, participatory, and context-sensitive design. From 2012–2015, he served as the Director of Design at D:hive, a storefront welcome center formerly located in Detroit’s Central Business District. D:hive’s talent retention and attraction efforts helped connect thousands of people to housing opportunities, employment leads, experiential city tours, and small business development courses.

In 2019 he was awarded the Vanguard fellowship by Next City, an experiential gathering of rising urban leaders, community developers, activists, and designers working to advance the potential of the people and places that shape our American cities. Based in Hamtramck, Good Done Daily collaborates with cause-forward organizations ranging from nonprofits, foundations, and city planners to civic, community, and economic development initiatives. Their work with printed communications, digital experiences, environments, and brand identities has helped dozens of leaders build movements, tell stories, and rally for social change.

Professional Experience

As Design Director and Founder at Good Done Daily, Andy collaborates with cause-forward organizations, including nonprofits, foundations, urban planners, and civic, economic, and community development initiatives. Over the last eight years, he has been lucky to design everything from print-based communications, digital experiences, environments, and brand identities.

In 2022, Andy took a new leap forward and co-founded ‘Built by Many,’ a worker-owned and operated cooperative that serves community-based organizations and enterprises. At Built by Many, Andy’s role is focused on overseeing communication design efforts aimed at supporting people in their mission to build more inclusive, fair, and sustainable communities and public-serving institutions. Through close collaboration with organizations and community-based enterprises, they develop customized projects, programs, and toolkits that enable people and places to reach their full potential.

Before starting Good Done Daily and co-founding Built by Many, Andy worked as a freelance designer with non-profits, social entrepreneurs, and small businesses, including Wayne State University Press, Columbia University Press, Detroit Vegan Soul, and Citizen Effect. Andy has also worked as a digital retoucher and assistant at Paul Mobley Studio, where he helped with image design and production for editorial and commercial shoots.

In his early career, Andy worked as an art director at Trent Design in the Greater Detroit Area. There, he was responsible for the execution of small to large-scale brands and identities for non-profits, small businesses, and corporations like Art X Detroit, Midtown Detroit Inc., DTE Energy, Gleaners Community Food Bank, and Detroit’s Eastern Market.
