Join us on September 7 for an alumni meetup hosted by the CCS Illustration Department, where we’ll explore modern industry practices, address current concerns, and investigate future trends. Whether you’re attending for the entire day or just dropping in, we welcome your participation.

Event Details

Start Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. figure drawing session held in W309. Both traditional and digital tools are welcome.

Lunch & Social: Following the session, enjoy a 1-hour lunch break and social event—a perfect time to reconnect with your peers.

Afternoon Programming: Beginning at 2:00 PM in W313A, CCS Associate Professor Francis Vallejo will lead a series of discussions and presentations focused on the illustration marketplace in 2024. Topics will include branding and promotion, client relationships, new revenue streams, new technology, full-time versus freelance work, hiring practices, and more.

Guest Speakers: We’ll also feature guest speakers, including Matt Ulicny ’21, Illustration and Olivia Panagos ’17, Illustration, offering brief analyses and insights into their fields. This event is designed to foster open dialogue with an emphasis on strengthening career options, raising awareness, and expanding professional networks. It’s an excellent opportunity for recent alums to gain valuable insights from more experienced alumni. We look forward to seeing you there!

*Please note that since you graduated, security practices have been updated. As a result you will have to visit the security office and pick up a 1 day pass. This will allow you to enter the respective building.
