Art Practice Program Learning Outcomes (PLO)
Upon graduation students in the BFA Art Practice Department will be able to:
- Apply a pluralistic approach to art making, through skillful use of traditional and new materials, techniques and processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and research as means to establish coherent relations between materials, processes, and content.
- Demonstrate the use of critical thinking as a means to verbal, written and visual expression.
- Utilize the expertise of visual language to analyze and critique the work of others.
- Demonstrate an understanding of their role as an artist through the ability to contextualize individual work within contemporary art and culture.
- Articulate an understanding of the relationship among culture, history and visual arts.
