DESCRIPTION:Bring your laptop and join us for an exciting\, hands-on workshop that explores design through the powerful lens of both Hip Hop and Motown culture. Led by architect and cultural innovator Michael Ford—widely known as The Hip Hop Architect—this dynamic session invites participants to reimagine material palettes inspired by iconic album covers from Detroit Hip Hop and Motown legends. \nUsing Material Bank’s free digital platform\, you’ll collaborate in real time to translate the visual language of music into thoughtful\, tangible design expressions. Hosted in partnership with The Hip Hop Architecture Camp and the College for Creative Studies\, this workshop is all about pushing creative boundaries and discovering new ways to tell stories through music\, culture\, and materials. \nYour palettes will be physically assembled by CCS and displayed during Michael Ford’s Toyota Lecture just two days later—don’t miss your chance to be part of the showcase! \nNote: A free Material Bank account is required for participation.
